Everything You Need To Know

WHAT TO EXPECT

The journey Back To The Roots is one we will embark on together as a community. We will move through the site from offering to offering, workshop to performance, cultivating and sharing the energy together as a collective. 

For this reason, we invite and encourage you to join us each day for our opening ceremony to start the days’ celebrations together. The programme will be available online a few days before the event and you are of course free to be yourself, find your own flow and explore the site and our wonderful vendors throughout the weekend.

This is an alcohol and drug free event. As we have all the energy we need inside of us, we’ll be connecting only to nature and the Earth’s natural gifts. 

No dogs are permitted on site.

 

Please remember to bring a yoga mat, water bottle, swimwear and a towel if you want an ice bath & sauna experience and a torch if you’re camping.

 

Some areas will have card machines and others will be cash only. There are no cash machines on site, so please bring along enough cash for the weekend.

 

CHECK-IN TIMES

You can check-in to the festival during the following hours:

Friday: 2pm - 4pm (opening ceremony at 4pm)

Saturday: 7:45am - 10am (first workshop starts at 8am)

Sunday: 7:45am - 10am (first workshop starts at 8am)

Upon arrival you’ll be checked in and given a wristband at the Check-In Point. 

Re-entry to the festival throughout the weekend is possible as long as you show your wristband.

FESTIVAL TIMINGS

Friday 12th August: celebrations start at 4pm and end at 11pm

Saturday 13th August: celebrations start at 8am and end at 11pm

Sunday 14th August: celebrations start at 8am and end at 4pm

 

The Cacao Cafe will stay open past 11pm on Friday & Saturday for further events.

 

Please try to arrive on time so we can open the space together.

ON-THE-DOOR DAY TICKETS

Saturday and Sunday day tickets are available to buy at the Check-In Point during the check-in times stated above.

Friday tickets must be bought online by 2pm on Friday 12th August, there will be no option to pay on the door. 

Prices for on-the-door tickets are below, payable by cash only. 

Saturday: Adult £55 | Child £27
Sunday: Adult £33 | Child £11

Late arrivers:

Of course we understand you may not be able to make the opening ceremonies each day, so if you do arrive late, please note that there will be nobody at the entrance to check you in. You will need to make your own way to the campsite and then join us on site. You will need to find Lara/Renee/John who will be in a Green CROFT FARM CREW T-shirt and they will be able to check you-in and provide you with a wristband.

CAMPING

For those camping, doors will open at 2pm on Friday 12th August for you to arrive early to pitch your tent. From there, head to the Check-In Point (marked on the site map) to be checked into the festival.

 

If you’ve bought a day ticket and want to upgrade to a full weekend camping ticket, this will be possible at the Check-In Point with the difference payable in cash on the day.

 

Eco-toilets and eco-showers are available for you to use free of charge. We encourage you to bring eco-products to stay kind to the Earth.


 

TRAVEL

Back To The Roots Festival will be held at The Croft Farm Escape.

The address is: The Croft Farm, Dagnall Road, Great Gaddesden, Hertfordshire, HP1 3BP. 

 

If you are arriving by train:

Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted are the closest train stations, both a 12 minute drive from The Croft Farm Escape. Trains arrive direct from London Euston or Milton Keynes/Northampton. There are taxi ranks at the train station for the final leg of the journey, or you can use the following taxi firm numbers:

If you are arriving by car:

We encourage you to car share or take public transport to reduce emissions.

When you enter the venue, bear left to be directed to the car park and festival site. 

 

FOOD & DRINK

We’ll be providing nutritious and delicious food options throughout the weekend.

 

On Friday night we’ll eat dinner together as a collective. We’ll be serving a yummy plant based and gluten free dinner with freshly made sourdough & gluten-free alternatives.

On Saturday morning we will eat breakfast together, again with gluten-free options available.

 

We’ll also be joined by some wonderful food & drink vendors who’ll be providing nourishing meals, smoothies and cacao all weekend. 

 

There are drinking water points available throughout the site.

TICKET CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES

Tickets are non-refundable but can be sold on, please email us to change the name on the ticket at info@consciousbuddycommunity.com.

If the event needs to be cancelled, a new date will be agreed and your ticket will be transferred to the next event. Refunds are possible but will be subject to admin fees.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree that Conscious Buddy is not liable for any injury or harm that you may incur in any of the practices/classes and you agree to take full responsibility of yourself, your health, your wellbeing and all of your belongings whilst at the gathering. Thank you.
